HTML5 – Where is it Heading & How Do We Get There?

Presenter: Jay Peretz

HTML5 and CSS3 are rapidly changing the way Websites are designed by standardizing semantic, data access and media elements for browsers and mobile devices, without the need for propriety applications or languages.

Jay will demonstrate the capabilities of HTML5 through example code, discuss the current state of tools and platforms in supporting this new standard and the possibilities and opportunities that it offers to the Web design community.

Jay Peretz is an Adjunct Faculty member of the Computer Studies Department at Santa Rosa Junior College and an Adobe Certified Instructor in Dreamweaver and Flash.

He is also a Web developer at PBHS, a major Web design company based in Santa Rosa.

From 1991 through 2005 Jay worked at Oracle Corporation, where he led a team of system architects that provided consulting services to commercial software developers worldwide and was a frequent speaker on internet technologies.
