Operating a Virtual Office

Communicating, sharing and staying organized with co-workers and/or clients.

These days our work requires new tools to be able to collaborate effectively with others, especially if you’re working from home, remotely or working in a distributed environment with co-workers or clients.

Tony will take a look at some of the best tools he has found for communication, sharing and organization. We can discuss other tools and methods that you’ve found that work well.

Tony Fardella has had a varied career working with computers. He has beenworking in the computer industry for 25 years building networks, managingservers, doing programming and web development.

He worked in the consumer software industry at Broderbund Software managing Technical Support, building product prototypes and managing the IT department. He has also been IT manager at TravelSmith Outfitters and Fotiva.

Tony is currently doing web development and server wrangling for a project called SportsDashboards as well as other computer, network and web consulting jobs that come along. He’s experienced in working with HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP. Currently he’s enjoying working with WordPress both deploying sites and developing custom themes.

He’s curious about most everything and currently having fun learning torestore old tube amplifiers and fountain pens. He loves music and plays bassguitar (with an emphasis on the word “play” as after 30 years he should be much better at it than he is).

Tony also has a strange fondness for book binding and paper that he thinks could be related to some past life experience. He occasionally blogs at and
